Født 09-03-1936 i Natchez, Mississippi,

   
Mickey Leroy Gilley er mest kendt for sin natklub, Gilley's og for sine berømte fætre, Jimmy Lee Swaggard og Jerry Lee Lewis.

Gilley indspillede selv country plader, men det var som producer han for alvor slog igennem. Med sit eget pladeselskab, Astro, producerede han hits for kunstnere som Patsy Cline og George Morgan ligesom han fik enorm succes som producent på Hugh Hefners Playboy Records.
